hey there people So im sitting here like a million others wanting to play Aion, but hey, no can do! So im wondering if anyone trains any martial arts or have interrest in them? Im a Wing Chun student, 3 months into it and i LOVE it. Its the MA that Bruce lee started out with so you guys can get an idea of the effective art is it. Here's a short video from Mind, Body and Kickass Moves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnQUaRVV5b4The man is the video is Ip Chun, the same line of wich i train in Its not an art about kicking ass like Krav Maga or Muay Thai, this is anatomy, science and just plain sweet

I love martial arts mate. Don't practice any myself but allways had a massive interest in it. Massive Bruce Lee Fan, aswell as like old school Jacky Chan Films (drunken Master), proper retro stuff. Love all the non-westernised Jet Li stuff too Like Hero and Fearless. Just love it mate, I spend a lot of time when im bored finding sick clips from these epic films. This punch maaaaan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8voT8m_BzfULove that shit.

Well, i was practicing kick-boxing and shotokan for some time, i was even an instructor for a year. I love martial arts, but i'm more into the hard styles like muay thai, kyokushin. Wing Chun is beautiful but as i said - i like it rough and i want to be able to "inflict pain" in the most effective way possible. Astros is also martial arts fan, we were training together. He makes a great punching bag!

You see, there's this thing called "AGGRO". It's a very complicated, very technical roleplaying expression. Loosely translated, it means "The priest dies".

My focus is more on the kick boxing and muay thai and tbh i haven't practiced for a long time. Excluding the regular street fights. Anyway, i'll try to dig up some clips from my old collection of the founder of the kyokushin Masutatsu Oyama. I suppose you've heard of it, the guy is a legend in the martial arts world not only because he found the first real full contact karate but because of the "myths" surrounding him. Well, these are not myths, they're actual demontstrations with a lot of eye-witnesses. For example - he participated in a kumite, fightning (and wininning ofc) vs 300 men in 3 days. He killed with his bare hands more than 50 bulls. 3 of them - with one hit only. That's why he was called "Godhand". Breaking big blocks of ice... and stuff like this which seems like a fantasy story but it's not. Because nowadays we have the almighty YouTube there's something with him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KKzq9BhcZ8&NR=1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lyo4itn-y8w&feature=relatedExtremely bad quality but you can definitely see the power (and might i say insanity) of Oyama fighting the bull with his bare hands. That's just something you don't see everyday... There's a tribute to probably one of the greatest fighters that ever lived: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql99zLrU1wQAnd time for some interesting clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dao3gEEYEBc&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrS2eRl76ikhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahz8Pj_JYiU&feature=relatedAnd ofc last but DEFINITELY not least - Andy Hug - the swiss legend or should i say martial arts genius. He practiced kyokushin and seidokaikan (another form of full contact karate). This is something you want to see no matter if you like martial arts or not... Enjoy (and you will). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb6BbwKiPHQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4NcTQWX7Rc&feature=relatedAnd here i take a break because i can go on like this forever.

Been studying martial arts for many years started with Wing Chun and Karate when I was younger, then switched to internal martial arts about 10 years ago, Tai Chi, Hsing-I and Ba Gua. Started with Bruce Frantzis's stuff, his system is great for people to new to internal arts and the guy himself is an amazing practioner, his book 'Power of Internal Arts' is a great read for anyone interested in the subject and the crossover from external to internal practice. Nowadays, I'm a chi gung instructor and purely do the practice for health and meditation purposes. I still use Bruce's chi gung sets but also the chi gung and tai chi from this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxG6aWdM0EM.

I studied Tae-kwon-do for 10 years and Kendo for 4 and boy did i love them Ive slacked off a bit now, i was thinking of taking up Aikedo (spelling?) because that looks like alot of fun Casually waiting for someone to take the first swing and then throw them headlong into a wall...sounds fun!

Wing Chun aint a part of MMA, Wing Chun aint allowed in competitions, cos we would end up killing our opponent, since Wing Chun is an art, and not a sport, like boxin or tae-kwon-do. Anyways, yes, Brazilian Juijitzu is by far the best 1on1 martial art out there. But i train Wing Chun because i wish to be able to defend myself in a heavy gang city. Wing Chun teaches you to fight multiply enemies and everything is standing, it teaches you the same balance principles as BJJ, but without using grabling moves. Brazilian Juijitzu is rather pointless unless its a 1on1, and how often are the streets 1on1? But yes i understand how many can see Wing Chun as weak... But theres a reason the Gracie family did wing chun, and that the Man/Chun family did BJJ, cos those 2 are the best you can learn to defend yourself with And might i add, the "wing chun" you see in movies is chinese or japanese threatric kung fu, its MADE for movies and made to look amazing. Any sify of kung fu, will tell you this. Good kung fu is quick dealy and fast, bad kung fu looks beautiful and with big movements, but is useless. And if you deny Wing Chun, you deny bruce lee Hes intire system is based on Wing Chun, he was an undefeated Wing Chun fighter(roof fighting in china amongst clubs). Not that other fighting arts aint dangerous enough, just wanted to add that And a fine fighter for anyone to watch is Fedor Emelianenko, The man without Weakness! heres a link Link
